We have seasonal & part time positions available at this time. We are looking for a Garden Coordinator (seasonal, part-time) and Community Weaver (part-time) to join our team this season! We are looking for people who are passionate about our vision and values for making a positive impact in food access, sustainable earth working and food growing practices within our community. Garden Coordinator

June 19th - November 1rst

12 hours/week

$22/ hour

Our Garden Coordinator will be the loving organizer of the garden & growing space. We hope to bring in someone who has food growing knowledge, is passionate about sustainable growing practices, and enjoys engaging with community in connective and energizing ways. 


In this role, you will:

  • Attend a weekly staff meeting
  • Facilitate the weekly to do lists for the garden
  • Plan out and facilitate volunteer days with other team members
  • Attend garden events
  • Maintain a weekly watering and weeding schedule
  • Organize and be the main implementer of the planting & harvest schedule
  • Regularly connecting with community that comes into the garden space
  • Attend monthly board meetings to present the Garden Report with the Community Weaver


Required Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of a compiled knowledge base in growing organic gardens or farms from seed to sow, spring to fall
  • Enthusiasm to participate and uplift a community space rooted in accessibility, equity, and collective liberation
  • Ability to express understanding in the ways that colonial engagements to the earth & food access impact marginalized communities whether based within race, gender, sexuality, disability, and/or social economic status

Community Weaver

June 19th - December 31rst

10 hours/week

$22/ hour

Our Community Weaver will be the loving connection between our organization to the community around. We hope to bring in someone who is locally based, is passionate about creating empowering connections within our growing community, and someone who enjoys creating generative dialogues with surrounding communities & other organizations on equity and access in energizing ways. Experience in fundraising is a plus but not required. 


In this role, you will:

  • Attend a weekly staff meeting
  • Build connections and maintain dialogue with local community groups, farms and organizations
  • Help organize and plan for a 6-week cooking series held in the garden
  • Facilitate and plan for scheduled garden events & fundraisers
  • Facilitate our weekly GIAC children group visits (twice a week)
  • Attend monthly board meetings to present the Garden Report with the Garden Coordinator


Required Qualifications:

  • Locally based for at least 1 year
  • Enjoys the process of working with children, neighbors, and others
  • Ability to regularly communicate through various mediums (ie: in person conversation, email, phone etc.)
  • Enthusiasm to participate and uplift a community space rooted in accessibility, equity, and collective liberation
  • Ability to express understanding in the ways colonial engagements to the earth & food access impact marginalized communities whether based within race, gender, sexuality, disability, and/or social economic status.
